Philip Musey | Founder & Principal
Philip Musey is a filmmaker with a professional background in strategy consulting. His stories explore entrepreneurship, economic mobility, and family legacy. His short film THE INVENTOR—about the life of Garrett Morgan—screened at 15+ festivals in 2022/2023, was a finalist for a Warner Bros. Discovery short film competition, and was later picked up by AMC Networks.
Philip has loved storytelling since his early days of putting on skits with his brothers and making short films for class projects. However, he credits a summer class at the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program for inviting him on a lifelong journey to think critically about the Black male image in cinema. He hopes to add some of his own perspectives to that cinematic tapestry, tapping into his experiences as the son of a Ghanaian immigrant.
Philip earned his Bachelor's in Economics from Harvard University, and lives in New York City.
